INTRODUCTION LESSONS

2024 FALL INTRODUCTION TRAINING PROGRAM

This program is designed for 8 years old and younger children who are new to playing badminton. Playing badminton will help improve your kid’s flexibility, balance, and coordination, whilst focusing on good footwork and correct hand-eye coordination. The earlier kids are introduced to the sport, the more likely they are to develop the correct technique. The aim of this program is to teach kids the basic skills in badminton, and learning all the benefits of doing physical activity. And also learning new skills, good sportsmanship, goal setting, teamwork and skills development in a fun atmosphere, and teaching them how to play in game situations.

Introduction lessons for young kids

Age: 5 - 8 yr old     |     Level: Introduction    |     Duration: 60 mins   |   8 trainees max  |   2  courts

Step 1

We only take kid who is between 5 to 8 yrs old

Step 2

Select 1 package:

Once a week:5 sessions x $35

Twice a week: 10 sessions x $30

Step 3

Sept. 21 - Dec. 22

Saturday: 3pm-4pm

 

Fall Introduction Group Training

The purpose of this course is to introduce the sport and develop young children interest in badminton. If you are new a player, this class is perfect for you! Here, you will learn the basic fundamentals of technique and footwork, rules, and the general game strategy. 

Important dates:

  • No training on Oct. 13, 2024

Introduction Group training packages:

  1. 5 sessions package, $35 per session.

  2. 10 sessions package, $30 per session.

  3. No refund or credit forward allow.

  4. All package will expire by Dec. 22, 2024.

Training program

  • Basic strokes –

    • Including proper grip, a swing of the racket, follow-through, using full-body motion through, racket and shuttlecock point of contact, how to serve & return, backhand net, backhand lift, backhand serve, forehand overhead, forehand net, forehand lift, ready position.

  • Basic footwork –

    • Ready position, shuffle back and forth and stroke combination.

  • General physical –

    • Eye & hand coordination, warm-up & cool down exercises, cardiovascular & endurance exercises, strengthening & flexibility exercises.

  • Basic court play rules –

    • Scoring for singles and doubles games, service/receiving, faults, on Court etiquette and sportsmanship.

  • Life skills –

    • Persistence, patience, endurance, fairness, honesty, teamwork, friendship, sportsmanship, etc.

CANCELLATION

MUST schedule 6 Hours before scheduled lesson to be able to reschedule for make-up class. No credit. No refund.

COVID-19 AWARENESS

Our staff will take the temperature of everyone who not feeling well at the gym with an infrared thermometer. Please note that anyone with a temperature >100˚F will be turned away for safety measures. If possible, please check you and your child(ren) temperature before bringing them to the facility. In addition, if anyone is sick in the household, we ask that you or your child(ren) stay at home until they have fully recovered.

Refund Policies

Withdrawal: 100% refundable of tuition before Sept. 30, 2024; 50% refundable of tuition before Oct. 15, 2024. Not refundable after Feb. 1st, 2024. A $50 administration fee will be charge.
