2 Divisions

• A - Teams consisting of advanced players

  • Examples

    • Nationally ranked players

    • Members of Division 1 and 2 teams for Collegiate

    • Players who normally play A and/or B levels for tournaments

• B - Teams consisting of intermediate players

  • Examples

    • Members of Division 3 teams for Collegiate

    • Players who normally play C and/or D levels for tournaments

 

Team Construction

• A player may only be a member of 1 team

• Each team will consist of the following:

  • Minimum 2 - Maximum 5 Males

  • Minimum 2 - Maximum 5 Females

  • Each player may play up to 2 matches per tie

• 1 Designated Team Captain

  • Responsible for communication on behalf of team with Tournament Director

  • Responsible for completing a Team Composition Sheet before each tie

 

Tournament Format / Conditions

• Tournament-grade shuttles will be used throughout the tournament

• Teams will face off against other teams in a Tie

  • 1 Tie consists of 5 matches:

    • 1 MS

    • 1 WS

    • 1 MD

    • 1 WD

    • 1 XD

• Team with more match wins (first to 3 wins) will win the Tie

• Each match within a tie will be best-of-3 21-point games using the BWF scoring system

• Saturday, February 28th - All 5 matches will be played regardless of result for seeding purposes

• Sunday, March 1st - Tie will conclude when a team has reached 3 wins first

• Acceptable badminton clothing must be worn during play

• Non-marking shoes are required to play on the courts

• CBA Management may deny entries to the tournament
