Types of Membership

1. Membership & Validity

• All memberships are valid only for the stated term length and are non-transferable.

• Play Memberships are for individual use only and may not be shared.

• Membership Freeze: A one-time freeze of up to one month per membership term is available for medical or relocation reasons. Requests must be submitted in writing and approved by management.
   

2. Guest Policy

• Members are welcome to invite guests to play.

• All guests must be registered and must pay the applicable drop-in fee at the front desk prior to play.

• Members are responsible for ensuring their guests understand and adhere to all club policies and etiquette.
   

3. Membership Compliance

• Management reserves the right to cancel any membership without a refund for violations of club policies, disruptive behavior, or failure to adhere to the rules and etiquette outlined below.
   

4. Media Release Waiver

• By entering Capital Badminton Academy, you grant permission for you and/or your minor child to be photographed, filmed, or recorded.

• You acknowledge that Capital Badminton Academy owns the images and all rights related to them.

• These materials may be used for any legitimate purpose by the Academy, including but not limited to: promotional materials, advertising, social media, and our website, without any compensation or further permission.
   

5. Drop-In Fees & Sessions

• A drop-in session fee is applied in full upon entry, whether you play for the entire session or only a portion.

• All drop-in fees are non-refundable.

• All players (including guests) must check in and pay at the front desk before proceeding to the courts.
   

6. Strictly No Coaching Policy

• For the safety, fairness, and enjoyment of all our players, no form of coaching is permitted during drop-in sessions or open play. This applies to all members and guests.
   

7. Court Etiquette & Play Rules

• Priority & Waiting System:

  • Standard Play (Doubles Prioritized): To ensure fair court time for all players, doubles matches are prioritized, and the standard format is two sets of 21 points.

  • Singles Play: Singles matches are permitted only when court availability is high and no players are waiting.

  • Multi-Set Matches: Playing multiple sets or full matches (e.g., best-of-three) is only permitted when overall attendance is low and court availability allows, at the discretion of court monitors or management.

8. Facility & Equipment

• Footwear: For the protection of our courts, black-soled shoes are strictly prohibited with no exceptions. Please bring a pair of clean, non-marking indoor court shoes.

• Equipment Rental:

  • Loaner Racket: $5.00 per racket, per day.

  • Rental Shoes: $5.00 per pair, per day (subject to limited availability).

• Session End: All drop-in players and guests must leave the court promptly when the session time ends.

9. Clarification for Family Memberships

Eligible family membership holders are reminded that this plan is intended for a direct family structure only. This is defined as one adult (or two spouses/partners) and their own dependent children aged 18 and under.

• Verification Required: To ensure compliance and fairness for all members, we may request valid identification (ID) and/or a recent utility bill as proof of relationship and residence when you sign up for or renew a family membership.

• This definition does not include cousins, adult siblings, nieces, nephews, or other extended family members.
